Custom Woodwork and Fine Furniture
Craftsmanship - quality - professionalism
My name is David Whitley; I am the founder and craftsman behind Beveled Timber. Woodworking began as a hobby and has become an absolute passion. Impressive and amazing craftsmanship of yesteryear inspired my pursuit of learning the craft. Fueled with this new passion, I stepped away from my previous professional life as a registered nurse. I design and construct custom furniture and built-in home fixtures with extreme precision and meticulous attention. I am not a self-proclaimed master nor am I perfect, but it is my pursuit to get closer every day.
Beveled Timber
Beveled Timber was founded out of quality and passion. We design and build furniture to stand the test of time. Not only are we interested in delivering a quality product, we possess an immense joy in the process of creating. With countless hours invested in woodworking education, Beveled Timber uses a blend of traditional and modern techniques in design and construction. Some traditional joinery techniques include mortise and tenon, dados, dovetails, half-lap, and many more. Modern joinery methods including the Festool Domino are used as well. Superior joinery and superior materials ensure the product you receive will last a lifetime and become a family heirloom.
Beveled Timber was founded with quality and professionalism held as the highest priorities. See below how we do things.
Design Consultation
Each project begins with a free consultation. This consultation is where the client-to-craftsman relationship begins. We will discuss your personal project details, design inspiration, and material selection. We offer suggestions and guidance as well.
3D Rendering
With the dialog from the design consultation, Beveled Timber creates a 3-dimensional rendering of your project. Visualization of your design in full scale, allows for modifications to ensure that what we make is exactly what you imagined!
Fabrication
Design is complete, now to the shop. Aside from install, all of Beveled Timber’s work is completed in the fully outfitted woodshop. This means all of the dust and mess is not in your home.
Install
After fabrication in the shop, install begins. Some onsite work is required, however Beveled Timber takes many measures to protect your home and maintain a clean workspace. We aim to leave no trace, aside from a beautiful product!!
